Cambodia and Cuba have taken a significant step to enhance their tourism collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement was formalized with Cambodian Tourism Minister Huot Hak and Milena Caridad Zaldívar Piedra, Cuba’s Ambassador to Cambodia, inking the deal in Siem Reap province.

The MoU sets the stage for increased cooperation between the two nations’ tourism authorities, focusing on promoting tourism development and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and expertise. Moreover, it aims to broaden Cambodia’s tourism appeal to Latin American markets, offering new opportunities for both countries.

Based on principles of equality and mutual benefit, the agreement is designed to create a framework for tourism cooperation, fostering stronger ties between Cambodia and Cuba. This development aligns with the longstanding diplomatic relations maintained by the two countries since 1960.
