Indonesia continues to maintain some of the lowest fuel prices in Southeast Asia, according to data from the country’s state-owned energy company. This includes competitive pricing across several key categories such as gasoline and aviation fuel.
For RON 92 gasoline, known locally as Pertamax, Indonesia offers the cheapest rate at approximately Rp15,950 or $0.89 per liter. This price undercuts those found in neighboring countries such as Singapore, the Philippines, and Thailand. Similarly, Indonesia’s RON 95 gasoline is priced at around Rp19,150, or $1.07 per liter, which remains lower than the prices in Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Singapore, where it peaks at Rp48,795.
The country’s competitive pricing extends to aviation fuel as well, with Indonesia offering the region’s lowest price at roughly Rp20,190, or $1.13 per liter. This is followed by Vietnam, while Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia have significantly higher rates.
In the diesel market, Indonesia ranks as the third most affordable in Southeast Asia, with a price of around Rp25,200, or $1.41 per liter, following Vietnam and Malaysia.
These comparisons underscore Indonesia’s position as a leader in offering relatively low fuel prices within the region, contributing to its competitive edge in the Southeast Asian energy market.
