From Russia With China (and India): A New Bloc Takes the World Stage

Published on

A new bloc has taken the world stage, and its leading members are Russia, China, and India. Their coordinated appearance at the SCO summit has sent a powerful message of unity and has been described by a US commentator as a “dagger pointed at the heart of the West.”
Political analyst Van Jones expressed deep alarm over this development, calling the meeting a “historically big deal.” He argued that the image of Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Narendra Modi together is the very definition of a “new world order” that is being constructed in opposition to American leadership.
This new bloc has found common ground in its resistance to US trade policies. The tariffs imposed by Washington have provided a powerful incentive for these nations to enhance their economic and strategic cooperation, creating a formidable Eurasian partnership.
Jones warned that this has left the United States in a precarious and isolated position. He stated that the country is now “on the bad side of the triangle,” a dramatic and unfavorable shift in the global balance of power. The end game, he fears, is a world where “it’s everybody against us.”
